Dr. Gagandeep Bhardwaj is Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India.He is associated with the Machine Design group of the Department. He received his PhD degree in the area of fracture analysis of composite materials from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, in 2016, M. Tech. in Applied Mechanics from the Applied Mechanics Department, MNNIT Allahabad (2009-2011) and Bachelors PTU Jalandhar (2004-2008), India. Prior to joining Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dr. Gagandeep Bhardwaj has worked as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at NIT Jalandhar (Jan 2016-June 2016) and as a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (July 2011- July 2012).

Dr. Gagandeep Bhardwaj works in the area of fracture mechanics, composite materials, Functionally graded materials and analysis of cracked Plates using extended finite element method and extended isogeometric analysis.
