Biography

Dr. Sahil Bansal is assistant professor in the department of civil engineering at the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, since 2016. He obtained BTech in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2009) and PhD in civil (structural) engineering from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2015). His primary research interest is in the area of Engineering Risk and Reliability Estimation, Uncertainty Quantification, and Rare Event Simulation.
