BIOGRAPHY

Naveen Kwatra is Professor in Department of Civil Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He was appointed in July 2000 after completing his doctorate from Indian Institute of Roorki, Roorki. His area of expertise is wind effect on RC buildings, finite element modeling, vibration monitoring on RC structure elements, artificial intelligence. Till date, he has completed number of research project sponsored by DST, AICTE and UGC. He has supervised 45 student of ME Structure and 7 PhD students. Naveen kwatra is also worked as a Faculty Advisor for Civil Construction projects of the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology from 11/2006 to 11/2011. He has published more than 32 SCI journal, more than 22 conference paper and H index is 6. Naveen kwatra is also completed many consultancy project including design of RC structures, retrofitting and rehabilation of RC building. Presently he is associated with NHAI project from Kiratpur to ner chowk, Himachal.

  • Dr. Naveen Kwatra, Professor and head received the certificates of appreciation for his guidance provided to Ms. Divya Aggarwal during M.Tech Thesis entitled “ Evaluation of wind loads on building using genetic programming” The thesis received best M.Tech Thesis Award(2012-13) by Indian Society for wind Engineering (ISWE)
