Biography

Prof. Trilochan Penthia is working with Department of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala since August 2018. He received his B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar (Odisha, India) in the year 2012, and M. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (India) in 2014. He did his PhD as an Institute Research Scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela during the period of July 2014 to August 2018. His PhD work was focused on the power electronics interfaces for a superconducting magnetic energy storage system in the electric grid. His research interests include superconducting power and energy technology, applications of superconducting magnetic energy storage system, power quality, custom power devices, applied power electronics, energy storage systems, multilevel inverters and DC-DC converters.
