Biography

Dr. Dheeraj Gupta, currently Professor and Head in the Central Workshop at the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, India. He obtained his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, India, and Master’s & Doctoral Degrees from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India. He has more than ten years of teaching and Research Experience. He has worked on European Union Funded Project, In Lisbon, Portugal. He has published more than 70 articles in journals and conferences. He has filed two Indian Patents on microwave processing of metals. Currently, he is a Principal Investigator for Indian government funded project. His areas of interest are microwave material processing, surface engineering, Tribology, Biomedical. He has supervised many master theses and four Ph.D. are going-on under his supervision.
